These are the logs of my D&D campaigns.
Castalia Chronicles
One late autumn night, in a remote village in the Grey Mountains, a guest at The Healing Hand Inn is murdered. Several travelers, each traveling to the Shining Citadel for their own hidden reasons, band together to solve the mystery, but find themselves in over their heads and journey to the nearby city of Crystalport for help. There, calling themselves the Dawnbringers, they are sucked into a vast web of conspiracies and political intrigue—they must deal with ancient cults, prophetic dreams, necromancers, dragons, and more. As they connect the puzzle pieces they discover vague hints of an ancient cosmic entity whose arrival may threaten the entire world.
The first six logs are recollections written soon after the sessions took place, but starting with log seven the events and dialogue are faithful transcriptions of audio recordings of the sessions.
There is also a log of treasure found by the party each session, and a list of PCs and NPCs they have encountered throughout the campaign.
Epilogue to The Adventures of Abernathy’s Company
The Adventures of Abernathy’s Company is a very, very long D&D campaign log posted to EN World forums by the user Sagiro, and compiled into readable PDFs by another user StevenAC. It is my favorite log of all time, and from it I learned everything I know about running an engaging campaign. I desperately wanted my friends to read it, but it is very, very long. So I did the next-best thing—I ran it as a campaign!
My version lasted ninety-nine sessions over three years (it started during the pandemic so we were playing every week) and, though it follows the skeleton of the plot of the original, the player characters are completely different and it goes off the rails in many ways. Recently we have been running an epilogue, and I’ve been recording those sessions. I will post transcriptions soon.
